Investigate Report Permission

Use this page to investigate whether a user has access to a report or custom form.

User Reports

Permissions for reports can be done one of two ways. For a user-centric approach, use the All-Report Permission tab from Application Permissions. For a report-centric approach, add the users in the applicable Reports page (e.g., Restrictions panel on the Dashboard Designer menu in the Reports module). 

Field's Description

  • User Name The name of the user. If User Type is Group, this field is not displayed.

  • Report Menu The name of the report.

  • Report Menu text The label of the report.

  • Description The description of the report.

  • Category Type Id The unique id for the category.

  • Category Text The text displayed for the category.

  • App Element Name

    The type of report. See Report Elements.

  • App Element Id The unique id for the report.

User Report Permission Filter

In the User Report Permission Filter, the following fields are available:

Field's Description

  • User Type Select either User or Group

  • User Name Select a specific user or group depending on the selected User Type.

  • Report Elements Select from Report, Dashboard, Pivot Report, Custom Form, or Report Category.

  • Category Type Ids Select to limit results to those with the selected Category Type IDs.
