AD Groups

Active Directory (AD) is a directory service developed by Microsoft that is used to manage and organize resources within a networked environment, such as users, computers, and other network resources. This page provides read-only access to AD groups and users.
The AD Groups grid (left) displays all AD Groups in a hierarchical tree view. Active Directory supports nested groups (i.e., groups within groups). The tree view on this page provides visibility into the nested groups which can be advantageous in researching security and permissions issues.
